Delete your Expr account
You can delete your Expr account, and the data that goes with it, at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Delete it in the app
- Open Expr and go to your Profile.
- Tap the settings icon at the top.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away.
Ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app, email admin@expr.live from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my Expr account”. We may ask you to confirm the request, so that nobody else can delete your account. We delete the account within 30 days of confirming it.
What is deleted
- Your account, profile and profile photo.
- Your posts, stories, comments and likes.
- Your follows, connections and connection requests.
- Events you host, and the photos you uploaded for them.
- Your notifications and push notification tokens.
- Reports you filed or that were filed about you.
- Your direct message conversations.
What is kept
Messages you sent in event group chats remain, so the conversation still makes sense for other attendees. They are shown as from “Deleted user” and are no longer linked to you.
Copies of deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to 35 days, after which the backups that hold them are removed automatically. Backups are used only to recover from failures.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual posts, stories, comments and messages in the app at any time, and remove your profile photo or other profile details from your profile.
